18 Languages and Counting

We are constantly looking for more ways to help students learn. Over the past few months, we’ve developed an audio feature that will read aloud your flashcards. It’s perfect for auditory learners (those who remember things by hearing them) and language learners.

What’s more is that we support these audio features across 18 different languages:

  • English
  • Spanish
  • French
  • Japanese
  • Chinese
  • Korean
  • Dutch
  • Danish
  • German
  • Italian
  • Portuguese
  • Russian
  • Swedish
  • Turkish
  • Polish
  • Icelandic
  • Romanian
  • Welsh

Ready to try it out? Find the audio icon on the top of your flashcard set in the Flashcard and Memorize tabs.  Toggle it on.  Audio is now turned on for every flashcard within your set.

To repeat the audio, press the audio icon located on the top left corner of your flashcards.

You’ll find this audio icon in other areas of the site to enable the audio feature so be on the look out.

If you have trouble hearing the audio, make sure your volume is on. If you still can’t hear the audio, there could be a chance that we weren’t able to determine what language your flashcards are in. To fix this, click edit, and make sure the language at the top of every column is chosen correctly.  Choose the correct language and click Save.  The audio (if supported) should be available now.

As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated.  Let us know if there are any other languages you’d like to see supported on

Thanks and Happy Studying!
