Kelly Clarkson: Stronger

It has been nine years since Kelly Clarkson was a contestant on the inaugural season of American Idol, a show airing on the Fox Network. Soon after winning the competition, Kelly released “Thankful,” her debut album. In fact, her single “A Moment Like This”had the biggest jump to number one in the history of the Billboard Hot 100. Her sophomore album, Breakaway, catapulted Kelly Clarkson even further into pop-rock stardom. The Texas-born diva took creative control for her third studio album, “My December,” and received criticism. However, Kelly Clarkson was undeterred and forged onward to release her fourth album,” All I Ever Wanted” in 2009. She broke her own record with biggest jump to number one for “My Life Would Suck Without You,” and she earned her first number one single in the United Kingdom. Though she is only a mere twenty-nine years old, Kelly Clarkson has enjoyed a career spanning nearly a decade. On October 24th, 2011 she is set to release her fifth studio album, “Stronger.” Though no one knows how well the record will do until it’s released, her past records suggest a good seller.
